Meet Larry
I grew up in a small town in Ontario called Coboconk. I didn’t go to church until I was in my teens after I received Christ into my life. I went to elementary school in my town, high school in Fenelon Falls and Bible College in Lindsay. Before I was involved in the church, my focus would be on going to our cottage on the weekend to hang out, snowmobile or fish and swim, depending on the season. I played hockey into my late teen’s as well.

I Grew up north in a small town called Gronlid then moved to Melfort. After Della and I were married we moved to Regina. In 1988 I had a radical encounter with Jesus and accepted Him as my Savior and Lord. After I came out of the water in baptism I was set free from addiction to drugs and alcohol. We started attending RAC in 2009. I worked in the financial industry as a computer network and security specialist for over 30 years.
I am in love with my best friend Della! We have Two married children and four grandchildren which we love dearly. We like to travel and meet people. My hobbies would be technology like electronics. computers, and ham radio.
It never ceases to amaze me that we are loved and in-love with The Only Living God! The uncreated one! That He did not leave us orphaned on this earth but lives in us by His Holy Spirit! That through the death and resurrection of Jesus we have been given authority and power to heal the sick, cast out demons, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead! Praise You Lord!

I was born and raised in Regina. Graduate of Thom Collegiate. As a child Mr. Don Giles would pick me up for Sunday School and Boys Brigade first at the church downtown and then here at the church’s current location.
I attended Hillcrest Christian College from 1988 to 1992. I was in pastoral ministry from 1992 to 2018. Then Executive Director of Regina Youth For Christ for 6 years. I have been serving with Rising Above for the past 18 months and now with RAC. Our family started attending RAC in 2019.
Our family loves doing Missations (Mission Trips combined with Vacation).
Our family likes Lego and sports.
I joined the Regina Apostolic Church as I believe that God is calling us to be a church that goes to EVERYONE.

Carolyn was born & raised in Winnipeg and came to Saskatchewan to attend Briercrest Bible College, and never really went home again. Carolyn and her family started attending RAC in 2014, and in 2017 she joined the staff as the Elementary Director, because God said, “Here – this is what’s next for you.”
HOMELIFE:
Carolyn and Sean’s social life is 90% going to Nolan’s soccer games & practices. She has a shop on Etsy where she sells the fun stuff she sells (check it out at aliceandvictor.etsy.com), and the rest of the time, she’s reading.
CAROLYN LOVES:
Books & Reading
Celebrating her birthday (March 8th!)
Road Trips
Camping
WHY SHE LOVES BEING THE ELEMENTARY MINISTRY:
Having the chance to teach the love of Jesus and watch the roots of faith grow deeper. Being able to watch the kids grow up and out of elementary and continue to grow in their faith and come back to serve! Working with awesome teams of volunteers who get the vision of discipling kids. And the silliness!

I hail from Queensland, Australia. In the spring of 2016 Jesus called me to Canada for a “little adventure”. Little did I know that He meant it to be a long-term thing.
After several years of working at summer camp, I was called to join the team at Eston College in Saskatchewan, where I have been serving for over 7 years. In the summer of 2025 Jesus added Young Adults at RAC to my mission and I have loved every moment of it. My heart is for all young people to know Christ deeply, and subsequently to discover who they are created to be. I love next gen ministry – if the young people are there, I will be too.
David Stevenson

Meet David
Grew up in Regina. Attended the church from birth. I was employed with Weston Bakeries for 29 years and was the plant manager. I was then the service manager for a couple of local service companies before taking the role of Building Manager for the Church & Storie Manor.
I’m Married, one daughter and son-in-law and 3 grandchildren. We spend summer weekends at the lake. Spending time with family is my hobby.
Love to work with my hands and helping to see things improved and working with our facilities team. It’s a pleasure to assist in ensuring that ministries in the church have all they need from a facilities standpoint to be successful.
Jackie Cupples
Food Services Director
Meet Jackie
I was born here in Regina but grew up in Sparwood BC. When I was 3 my dad packed us all up and went west to work in the coal mine. I came back to Saskatchewan with my family in 1994. In the spring of 2018 I was offered the position as Director of food services/head cook at Eston College. Literally my dream job!
My husband is a semi retired paramedic and travels to work casual at a few nearby EMS bases. We have 3 girls and 2 boys, 4 are married and we have 12 grandchildren and one on the way. My absolute favourite thing to do is spend time with my family. I love to chat with them on the phone and travel to see them all as often as I can.
I love serving at RAC because I love cooking and especially love to serve the students and ministries in the church. Food is one way we can care for people and bring people together for fellowship. It brings me great joy to connect with so many people for the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

I grew up on an (off-the-grid) acreage outside of North Battleford, Sk. My family has always been involved in ministry.
In 2019, I attended an Encounter conference at Eston. God moved in my heart and called me into a season of studying the word. I spent the next 4 years at Eston, where I had opportunities to participate in a variety of ministry opportunities. In 2024, after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, I felt God calling me to Regina. I accepted the job working on the facilities team at RAC.
Fun facts about me: I love the church and what God is doing in the city of Regina, the country of Canada, and the rest of the world. I love fixing things that are broken and figuring out how things work. I love learning about pretty much anything, and I have an appreciation for many different forms of arts and sciences. I also love the art and science of coffee as a way to connect with people and as a reminder of the mission of God in other parts of the world.
I love serving at RAC, as I get to help make clean, functional spaces, where people can encounter God and grow in their walk with Him.

I grew up in a small town in Northern Saskatchewan and started attending the Regina Apostolic Church in 2016 when my Husband and I moved to Regina. Before that, I spent a few years overseas teaching and travelling in Asia before returning to Canada to attend Bible College.
Outdoor adventures are my absolute favorite thing. Being surprised and in awe of God’s amazing creation never gets old and fills me with a childlike wonder. I also enjoy catching up with friends while enjoying a Matcha Tea latte or experiencing a new type of cuisine ( western food does not taste nearly as good when you cannot eat dairy).

I grew up in Regina and joke that I have attended the Regina Apostolic Church for 101 years. My great grandparents, grandparents, and parents have all attended here, and I have a beautiful wife (Alison) and 2 sons (Ellis & Rhodes), who are 5th generation members of our family to attend this church. I have been involved in ministry and production for as long as I can remember. My love for sound, music, video and production started at this church in the early 90s making videos for various youth events, and November retreats and being a sound operator for an uncountable number of Sunday mornings and special events alike.
I attended Eston College after finishing high school in the year 2000, and did a ministry internship here at RAC from 2003-2005 working with Chris Westby.
Trevor Sobchyshn
Technical Director
Meet Trevor
I grew up in Regina and have always had a passion for music and technology. While attending music college, I discovered an aptitude for technical work and music production which led me into the entertainment industry. I first connected with the church in 2004 through my work at a local audio production company and eventually found joy in serving in tech ministry. With over two decades of professional experience in both church and secular environments, I’m passionate about using my skills to enhance and refine the worship experience through the use of technology. There’s something uniquely fulfilling about serving in worship ministry, where I get to be part of meaningful moments alongside talented people.
Outside of work, I’ve been married for over 20 years and have three children. I live and breathe tech but also enjoy traveling, renovation projects, research and problem-solving. Fun fact—before tech took over, I spent a lot of time playing guitar, singing, and writing songs and when it comes to snacks, you’ll probably find me with Reese Minis or a bag of All Dressed chips in hand or a can of Coke.

I grew up and was blessed to be raised in a christian home, going to church every week and learning more and more about God and growing in my relationship with Christ as I also grew older. I attended Eston College for 3 years and got my Bachelors of Arts in Christian ministry, with a minor in Childrens and Youth Ministry.
This I enjoy are spending time with my wife Brooke, connecting with our friends, and playing recreational sports such as volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee.
I love serving in my role here at RAC because I get to see discipleship happen accross generations and not just in one demographic. I get to be a part of an amazing team of people who love Jesus and want to invite others to discover more about him each and everyday, and to me the best part is getting to see this discovery lead into transformation in peoples lives, especially our teens and kids.
