Larry Moore

Lead Pastor

Meet Larry

I grew up in a small town in Ontario called Coboconk. I didn’t go to church until I was in my teens after I received Christ into my life. I went to elementary school in my town, high school in Fenelon Falls and Bible College in Lindsay. Before I was involved in the church, my focus would be on going to our cottage on the weekend to hang out, snowmobile or fish and swim, depending on the season. I played hockey into my late teen’s as well.

I’m married to Sandra and we have 4 boys: Adam, Greg, Luke and Daniel, all who are grown with jobs, and 2 of which who are married with kids. We have a total of 5 granddaughters after having 4 boys. We also have a dog named Gracie. I enjoy my days off with Sandra doing errands, going out to eat, and working around the house. My hobbies would include general maintenance and landscaping around our house, tinkering in the garage and working towards our goal of renovations on our house.
I love Jesus, I love His Church, I love Sandra my wife, my 4 boys and their spouses and children. I love steak, I love watching the Toronto Maple Leafs when they are winning, I love to travel to new places and explore them, I love cruises.
I love serving as Lead Pastor at RAC because I know He has directed me to do this. Since arriving, I’ve had a sense of Him directing me like a strong current in a river since coming to Regina. I love to see growth and discipleship in the church, I love to see people saved and baptized, I love to see healings and the gifts being used, I love to see people released into their gifting as in Ephesians 4. I love RAC!

Jim Bobst

Associate Pastor

Meet JIM

I have attended this church my whole life. My parents were attending before I was born, so when I say my whole life, I’m including the additional 9 months! I came to faith in Jesus through this church, and was baptized at Kedleston Camp. I was married here in 1994. We have two children who were dedicated to the Lord here and we have many lifelong friends as a result of our church. It’s now a special season of life with 4 generations of family attending. My mom lives at Storie Manor and faithfully participates in the life of our church along with our children, daughter-in-law and grandson.
I served as an elder for over a decade before joining the pastoral team in 2017. Prior to that, I worked in financial services in a variety of senior management roles within banks and credit unions for 25 years. When we’re not spending time as a family sharing a good meal and laughing, you can find me out for a run (I’ve run in a few half-marathons), drinking coffee with friends and thoroughly enjoying this season of life. When you think of the typical responsibilities of a pastor, it’s those things that I love as the Pastor of Care and Community. Connecting one on one to process the issues of life, bringing Christ into the center. Whether that’s in a hospital room, long term care facility, counselling in the safety of my office, a wedding or a celebration of life, I’m thankful to the Lord for giving me the opportunity to serve in His Kingdom. I love to preach and teach the Word of God and I’m thankful for the richness and clarity of God’s Word and the power of His Holy Spirit to bring transformation.

Shenay Weyers

Young Adults Director

Meet Shenay

I hail from Queensland, Australia. In the spring of 2016 Jesus called me to Canada for a “little adventure”. Little did I know that He meant it to be a long-term thing.

After several years of working at summer camp, I was called to join the team at Eston College in Saskatchewan, where I have been serving for over 7 years. In the summer of 2025 Jesus added Young Adults at RAC to my mission and I have loved every moment of it. My heart is for all young people to know Christ deeply, and subsequently to discover who they are created to be. I love next gen ministry – if the young people are there, I will be too.

Food Services Assistant

Meet Natasha

I was born and raised on a farm north of Assiniboia, SK. When I graduated high school, I went to Eston College for three years earning my BA in Christian Ministry. I lived in Strasbourg for two years before moving to Regina in September 2023 to work part-time for RAC in the kitchen to feed Eston College.
One of my favourite things is to provide a meal for people to enjoy and fellowship over. Part of what fuels this love for food is this quote “Jesus changed the world by eating together” I heard in college. Jesus shared meals with His friends and family but also with the ones who no one else wanted to be seen with. My prayer as I go forth in this line of work is to be able to see each person how Jesus sees them.

Matthew Cunningham

Facilities Assistant

Meet Matthew

I grew up on an (off-the-grid) acreage outside of North Battleford, Sk. My family has always been involved in ministry.

In 2019, I attended an Encounter conference at Eston. God moved in my heart and called me into a season of studying the word. I spent the next 4 years at Eston, where I had opportunities to participate in a variety of ministry opportunities. In 2024, after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, I felt God calling me to Regina. I accepted the job working on the facilities team at RAC.

Fun facts about me: I love the church and what God is doing in the city of Regina, the country of Canada, and the rest of the world. I love fixing things that are broken and figuring out how things work. I love learning about pretty much anything, and I have an appreciation for many different forms of arts and sciences. I also love the art and science of coffee as a way to connect with people and as a reminder of the mission of God in other parts of the world.

I love serving at RAC, as I get to help make clean, functional spaces, where people can encounter God and grow in their walk with Him.

Jo-Anne Pullar

Noah’s Ark Preschool

Meet Jo-Anne

I grew up in a small town in Northern Saskatchewan and started attending the Regina Apostolic Church in 2016 when my Husband and I moved to Regina. Before that, I spent a few years overseas teaching and travelling in Asia before returning to Canada to attend Bible College.

Outdoor adventures are my absolute favorite thing. Being surprised and in awe of God’s amazing creation never gets old and fills me with a childlike wonder. I also enjoy catching up with friends while enjoying a Matcha Tea latte or experiencing a new type of cuisine ( western food does not taste nearly as good when you cannot eat dairy).

I love creating lifelong learners and igniting the spark of curiosity and the wonder of exploration. Helping kids learn tools for self regulation and giving them techniques to succeed in the future is a journey that I have the privilege of taking each year with a new group of kiddos.

Melissa Smyth

Coffee House Manager

Meet Melissa

I grew up mostly in Brandon, MB but also a few years in the Moose Jaw area. My Dad was a pastor and so I basically grew up in the Church. The Church was my home, my safe space and my playground. A year after I graduated I went to Eston College. I took a two year break during my degree and worked at a Bakery Cafe. There I had barista and manager training. I was super excited when the college moved and the opportunity to start the Coffee House at RAC came about! I have loved coming to this Church community and have felt so welcomed here!
I am a middle child with four brothers and one sister. We all get along fairly well and enjoy finding new hobbies and playing Mario Party! I love Coffee very deeply! Making it and sharing that with others is one of my favourite things in the world! I also love drawing, crafting, and decorating.
As already stated I love making, drinking, and serving coffee! But more than that I love the community and care that coffee ministry can bring. I want to create a space where everyone feels welcomed and valued and cared for and seen! And I love working with a dedicated team of Barista’s that share that same vision! I love getting to help shape a space where quality of product and quality of hospitality are both valued and pursued by everyone involved! This is first and foremost a ministry and I love the freedom and focus on care that brings! Jesus walks with us in our everyday and meets us in so many small and meaningful moments! My prayer is that we can share Jesus’ love and heart for His people in our interactions and the space that we create!

Trevor Sobchyshn

Technical Director

Meet Trevor

I grew up in Regina and have always had a passion for music and technology. While attending music college, I discovered an aptitude for technical work and music production which led me into the entertainment industry. I first connected with the church in 2004 through my work at a local audio production company and eventually found joy in serving in tech ministry. With over two decades of professional experience in both church and secular environments, I’m passionate about using my skills to enhance and refine the worship experience through the use of technology. There’s something uniquely fulfilling about serving in worship ministry, where I get to be part of meaningful moments alongside talented people.

Outside of work, I’ve been married for over 20 years and have three children. I live and breathe tech but also enjoy traveling, renovation projects, research and problem-solving. Fun fact—before tech took over, I spent a lot of time playing guitar, singing, and writing songs and when it comes to snacks, you’ll probably find me with Reese Minis or a bag of All Dressed chips in hand or a can of Coke.
